Ovako is expanding its Group Management with two new recruitments: Göran Nyström will take up the new post as Head of Group Marketing & Technology and Carl-Michael Raihle will be in charge of the Tube and Ring Business Area in Hofors, Sweden. In addition, Rickard Qvarfort will head the Bar SmeBox Business Area, consisting of the steelworks and rolling mills at Smedjebacken and Boxholm, Sweden.
Göran Nyström has been appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Group Marketing and Technology, which expands Ovako’s Group Management by one person. Nyström’s previous post was as Senior Vice President, Supply, with Sandvik Tooling, where he also was a member of the Executive Management Team.
Carl-Michael Raihle has been appointed President of the Tube and Ring Business Area. He previously worked as Executive Vice President, Rolled Products Division in the Luvata Group.
Rickard Qvarfort has been appointed President of the Bar SmeBox Business Area, which means he will be in charge of the steelworks and rolling mills at Smedjebacken and Boxholm. He has been a member of Group Management since 2005 and currently holds the position of President, Business Area Tube and Ring.

Rickard Qvarfort will begin in his new post on 9 November 2011, Carl-Michael Raihle on 1 December 2011 and Göran Nyström on 1 January 2012. Ulf Wilandh, whose previous post was President, Business Area Bar SmeBox, will leave Ovako on 1 January 2012.
